Only downfall is that the French press lid is not spill-proof, so be careful. Although this mug is technically a French press for coffee, I use it all the time with loose leaf tea, and it's perfect. Double screens make sure you don't get any tea leave or coffee bean bits in your mouth. I love the extra compartment for storing more tea or coffee for later. Excellent idea.and it still fits in the car cup holder.
This is great mug. I just scraped this off with a knife and now it is fine. I hardly ever get any grounds in my coffee unless it is in the last sip or two. The only drawbacks I have found thus far is that there is no cover for the opening so coffee can spill out pretty easily if you are driving and hit some bumps or have to stop or turn quickly, and the Planetary Design logo on the bottom of the mug sticks out too far and so it sits on that and is off balance. It makes some great coffee though and it is super convenient. I love it.
Yes it delivers great coffee. Used it almost everyday. Yes It is easy to clean, but I am really impressed with its long lasting durability. I've owned mine for two years. It has never failed me. If you are sick of those fragile pretty presses, I would seriously recommend this one.
Bought this as a gift for my husband, who was suffering from bad office coffee. He loves it and has found it easy to use.
She wanted one because unlike the other French Press travel mug she has, this one has a screen over the hole you drink from thereby completely eliminating any grounds from getting through to you. These are great. Plus, with the extra storage feature you can take a cup to go. I already had one & bought this one for my wife. She loves it. All you have to find is a source of boiling water. We think they're the best travel mug ever.
